£20,000+ Raised So Far

Yes, this is the amount raised so far, at time of writing, towards the Village Hall Renovation Project and 90% of it has been donated directly by the community, which is a FANTASTIC response.

A very big thank you to everyone who has made a donation no matter how large or small – it all adds up, and remember to Gift Aid it if you can.  The outcomes of the many grant applications we have made are expected over the next 2-3 months and will be shown on the funding thermometer that we display in the village hall and on Facebook.

This remains a one-off opportunity for all village associations, groups and individuals to help make this happen.

DONATIONS PLEASE – CONTACT MARTIN ON 01769 540886

In the meantime, invitations to tender for the work have been published and we have 5 contractors showing an active interest.

As we have written before, we need to have the match funding in place to draw down the Government grant so we have to make a decision in April if we are to proceed with the works this year. Please help us reach our target of £50,000.

All being well, we shall start the work in June and finish in December which means the village hall will be closed from the beginning of May.  Access to the children’s play area will remain in place although maybe by a slightly different route. Alternative arrangements for our regular events are being assessed and will be in place, where possible, before we close the hall. We shall keep you informed on Facebook and in this magazine.

In the meantime, please remember we have a Ceilidh event on Friday 15th March with Chris Jewell, places are limited so book early with Martin, and the Easter Fair in on Saturday 23rd March starting at 1.30pm. Lots to enjoy!

Thank you for your continued support.
