Hiring Process

We have two options for booking the main hall, meeting room or commercial kitchen, depending on your computer literacy:

  • Make your booking online and pay via bank tansfer.
  • Download and  complete a hiring agreement and pay by cash, cheque or bank transfer.

Online Process

  1. Check the current hiring rates, available below.
  2. Go to the Booking Form which is under the drop down menu at the top
  3. Select a day in the booking calendar and complete the form.
  4. An acknowledgement will be sent to your email address.
  5. The bookings administrator will be in touch via phone or email to organise payment.
  6. On receipt of payment, the Booking Administrator will confirm your booking.
  7. The Booking Administrator will then update the online calendar

Manual Process

  1. Telephone the Booking Administrator on 01769 540159 to find out the available dates for the room(s)/facilities you wish to hire and where to pick up a hardcopy booking form
  2. Check the current hiring rates with the Booking Administrator
  3. Agree a provisional booking with the Booking Administrator (valid for 5 days)
  4. Complete the hardcopy form clearly indicating the rooms/facilities that you wish to hire and the date(s) of hire, and if you want repeat bookings
  5. Indicate if you wish to pay by bank transfer rather than by cash/cheque
  6. Sign and date the form
  7. Return the completed form, with payment enclosed if paying by cash/cheque, to the return address on the form.
  8. If you wish to pay by bank transfer (BACS), please include the booking reference number on your money transfer
  9. The Booking Administrator will confirm your booking once payment has been received
  10. The Booking Administrator will then update the village hall calendar

Please note that in either case, by returning the completed booking form, either by email or hardcopy, the hirer is deemed to have read, understood and accepted responsibility for abiding with the policies and conditions of hire that are referred to in the Hire Agreement and are available to read on the website and in a folder in the Village Hall kitchen
