The results confirm the community’s very strong agreement that the village needs a vibrant community hall and the high degree of dissatisfaction with the current building and many of its features.

It also confirms a high level of community support for the phased approach that we are taking to renovate the current building but we note a strong preference by a small minority for a completely new build. Encouragingly, the results show how much more the community will use the hall when our plans are realised.

The chart below shows the preferred village hall attractions some of which could be in place now and just needs someone willing and interested to get their particular favourite activity started. Everyone can play their part in supporting their interests.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete and return the survey forms. We were delighted with the 45%  household return rate, far better than the turnout in most local elections. The results will provide vital evidence in our bids for funds in the coming months.
